Steph is uncompromising in her faithfulness to simplicity. A devout follower of the church of More White Space, she believes in the power of margins, serifs, and small thoughtful flourishes. As Frontier’s Creative Manager, she wields these tools to tackle any and all design challenges.
Steph knows that good design is a force for good. She is unwavering in mission: craft each and every visual element to spark lasting behavior change. Her focus on clean lines and direct simplicity follows the advice of Coco Chanel: "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off." It’s a lesson she’s proud to impart to other designers, too, in her role developing and directing the young design talent at Frontier.
Steph has been immersed in sustainability throughout her career. Get her talking about her work in resource recovery, alternative energy, and ecosystem protection, and you'll see her deep well of passion for sustainability—a cause she has immersed herself in throughout her career (she currently runs Frontier’s recycling program and chairs our sustainability committee). While Steph enjoys her designs clean, she prefers her shoes and bikes dirty. If she’s not pixel-hinting a logo, you'll find her running or ripping the local mountain bike trails.
